Uruguay coach Washington Tabarez is aware of the importance of this game as his side sit fifth in the South American qualifying rounds with 17 points from 12 games played so far. Uruguay are just two points behind fourth-placed Argentina, whom they can overtake if they win this one and the latter lose their game against Colombia.

Tabarez has called up six Uruguay-based players in his 25-man squad. They include Martin Silva, Diego De Souza, Miguel Amadom, Diego Arismendi, Alvaro Fernandez and Jorge Rodriguez. The manager will be relying on Sebastian Abreu, who has scored two times in two appearances against Brazil to give the goals this time as well.

Meanwhile Brazil coach Dunga has also called up many domestic players in his squad. Kleber, Nilmar, Andre Santos, Victor and Ramires find their names in the squad with the last three being called up for the first time.

Brazil are currently second behind Paraguay in the South American qualifying group with 21 points from 12 games. There is no place for Ronaldinho and Ronaldo in the squad, but goalkeeper Gomes makes a comeback after second choice keeper Doni suffered an injury in the lead up to the games.

Dunga has asked his players to ignore all the ongoing transfer speculation regarding playmaker Kaka in Europe and concentrate on winning the games against Uruguay and Paraguay.
