Mexico will be going all out for revenge when they take on USA yet again in their CONCACAF Gold Cup final at the Giants Stadium on Sunday. Both the teams had also made it to the final last time around with United States emerging triumphant thanks to second half goals from Landon Donovan and Benny Feilhaber after Andres Guardado had given El Tri the lead in the first half.

Mexico sneaked into the final thanks to their penalty shootout win over Costa Rica in the semi finals. With both the teams unable to score for the majority of the game, Mexico looked to have edged through after Guillermo Franco broke the deadlock in the 88th minute but Froylan Ledezma equalized deep in injury time to take the game into extra time. Neither team was able to get the winning goal and the game was decided on penalties after Mexico converted each of their chances while Ledezma missed his for Costa Rica.

Manager Javier Aguirre will be hoping to lead Mexico to its first major international trophy since they won the Gold Cup back in 2003. However the former Atletico Madrid coach will be unavailable in the dugout with Aguirre still having to serve the last of his three match ban that he had incurred after tripping a Panama player in Mexico's final group game.

United States on the other hand will be confident of a third straight Gold Cup title with the Yanks having managed a comfortable win over Honduras. After being subdued for most of the first half, USA finally took a deserved lead on the stroke of half time when Clarence Goodson bundled home Stuart Holden's cross.

Just when it looked as if Honduras might sneak in a late equalizer, Kenny Cooper made sure of the win by doubling the lead in the final minute of the game to send the United States through to the final.

While USA coach Bob Bradley has all of his squad fit for the game, Mexico will be missing the services of defender Israel Martinez who injured his knee in a training session.
