Ukraine’s new coach Myron Markevych will be keen to test out fringe players in this game as he looks to build a good team capable of qualifying for Euro 2012. Markevych took over from coach Olexiy Mykhaylychenko, who was let go after Ukraine failed to qualify for the World Cup in South Africa. Artem Mlevskyy and Andriy Shevchenko are expected to share the goal scoring burden, but Markevych will be keen to test out younger players.

Meanwhile Lithuania had a dismal world cup qualifying campaign and will be seeking to rebuild the team with an eye on the future. One of the players to catch the eye in the lead up to the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign is Arvydas Novikovas, who has recently signed a deal with Hearts.
