A depleted United States side will be looking to qualify for their fifth consecutive semi finals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup when they take on Panama in their quarter final clash on Saturday. Catch all the live football from that game by signing up with us here on Live Sport Network.

Having already qualified to the quarter finals following two wins in their opening two matches, the United States looked on course for a third straight win when Davy Arnaud opened the scoring in the 6th minute. However Haiti turned the game on its head with two goals in space of three minutes at the start of the second half only for Stuart Holden to score late in injury time to maintain the Yanks' unbeaten run in the competition.

 

 

United States will be without defenders Steve Cherundolo and Michael Parkhurst who have joined their club sides to prepare for the new season while striker Charlie Davies is undergoing a medical for French side Sochaux.

Meanwhile Panama will be looking to take full advantage of their brilliant comeback in their final match and pull off an upset by qualifying to the semi finals over the tournament favorites.Gary Stempel's side looked certain to get eliminated from the competition with just one point from their first two games.

 

 

However Panama players rose to the occasion with a thumping 4-0 win over Nicaragua in their final group match and with Haiti missing out on a win against the USA, it was Panama who went through on a better goal difference.

They will have to put up a similar performance at the Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday if they are to keep their Gold Cup hopes alive and avenge their 3-1 penalty shootout loss to the Yanks in the final of the competition back in 2005.
