A buoyant Turkey welcome Bosnia-Herzegovina to the Ali Sami Yen stadium in Istanbul knowing that a win will see them secure a ticket to the Euro 2008 finals in Austria and Switzerland next year. Turkey overcame Norway in a tense Group C clash 1-2 in Oslo thanks to goals from Emre Belözoglu and Nihat Kahveci.

Erik Hagenhad put Norway ahead in Oslo on 12 minutes with a fine overhead kick and just when it looked like it was all over for Turkey, they hit back. Hamit Altıntop was in fine form for Turkey and his coach will be hoping he can recapture that form for the Bosnia-Herzegovina clash as well.

Turkey coach Fatih Terim will be delighted with the win and will hope that his team has it in them to beat Bosnia-Herzegovina and book their ticket to the Euro 2008 finals. Defenders Sedat Bayrak, İbrahim Kaş and Gökhan Gönül make their debut for Turkey in this match, while Semih Şentürk and defender Hayrettin Yerlikaya have also been included.

Defender Gökhan Zan is out with a foot injury, while Mehmet Topuz is out with a shoulder injury.

Bosnia-Herzegovina on the other hand will only be playing for pride and they know it. Bosnia-Herzegovina coach Fuad Muzurović had admitted last month that his team blew their Euro 2008 chances after losing successive games to Hungary and Moldova.

In a group that included Turkey, Greece and Norway, Bosnia-Herzegovina would always struggle and unfortunately they slipped up at crucial moments. However they are looking to the future and towards this end have called up new faces including Semir Merzić and Ante Aračić as well as Sejad Salihović to test out their mettle.

Turkey are second in Group C with 21 points from 11 games, while Bosnia-Herzegovina are fourth with 13 points from 11 games. Greece have already qualified for Euro 2008 from this group. Watch Turkey vs Bosnia Live on free-football.tv.
