Tunisia had taken the lead through Issam Jemaa but goals from Moustafa Sall and Diomansy Kamara saw them go 2-1 down before Mejdi Traoui smashed home a spectacular shot from 25 yards out to snatch a point for his side.

Both the teams were placed in the same group in the 2006 edition with Tunisia emerging 2-0 victors thanks to goals from Francileudo Santos and Ben Achour.
