Manager Juande Ramos will demand a better performance from his side especially after their 2-1 loss at Boro. Goals from David Wheater and former Spurs man Mido gave Middlesbrough a comfortable win although Robert Huth headed into his own goal late on.

 

 

The continuing transfer saga of Dimitar Berbatov seems to have affected the players as have rumors surrounding the move for Andrei Arshavin. The departure of Robbie Keane has left Spurs a bit thin upfront and Ramos will have to quickly fill that gap.

Sunderland were also beaten in their first game by Liverpool thanks to a lone goal from Fernando Torres. Sunderland manager Roy Keane was however happy with his side's performance and has revealed that he will be bringing in at least two more players to the Stadium of Light before the transfer window closes.

 

 

Keane has so far signed El Hadji Diouf, Pascal Chimbonda, Steed Malbranque, Nick Colgan, eemu Tainio and David Meyler. The Black Cats have also been liked to German striker Lukas Podolski. Last season Spurs had clinched this fixture 2-0.
