A rejuvenated Tottenham Hotspur will play against league leaders Liverpool on Saturday in what promises to be an intriguing contest. Watch all the live Premier League action here on Live Sport Network.

 

 

Tottenham have bounced back for the gloom and doom that dominated the Juande Ramos era with a win against Bolton and have now managed to hold Arsenal to a 4-4 draw at the Emirates Stadium.

David Bentley put Tottenham ahead with a brilliant strike, but Arsenal were back level before half time thanks to a Mikael Silvestre header. Skipper William Gallas and Emmanuel Adebayor doubled Arsenal's advantage, but Darren Bent pulled it back for Spurs. However Robin Van Persie made it 4-2 soon after. But in a frenetic last few minutes, Jermaine Jenas made it 4-3, while Aaron Lennon's injury-time equalizer snatched an unlikely draw for Spurs.

 

 

The draw would have delighted manager Harry Redknapp, who will expect improved performances for his side from now on. However the goalkeeping puzzle will have to be sorted out and one suspects Redknapp will jump onto the market when the transfer window opens in January.

Meanwhile Liverpool consolidated their position at the top of the table with a 1-0 win over Portsmouth. The Reds were kept at bay by some fine defending from Pompey until the 76th minute when Papa Bouba Diop handled a corner leading to a penalty. Skipper Steven Gerrard converted to give the Reds all three points.

 

 

Manager Rafa Benitez will be happy his side has managed to keep winning despite the absence of star striker Fernando Torres. Last season this fixture had ended in a 2-0 win for the visitors.
