Spurs face Barcelona and Scottish giants Celtic in their two Wembley Cup games, and a good performance against both teams will certainly boost the team's morale ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.

Tottenham have already played two friendlies this month. The first was against Exeter City which Spurs won 3-0. Jamie O'Hara, Darren Bent and Aaron Lennon were on target for Tottenham in that game. Josep Guardiola has made only one major signing so far- Brazilian Maxwell. The left back joined from Inter Milan for £6m. The reigning Spanish champions have a very strong squad, and are the favourites to lift the inaugural Wembley Cup. The crowd at Wembley could get to see the likes of Xavi, Lionel Messi and Thierry Henry in action on Friday.

Barcelona have happy memories of Wembley, having won the European Cup there in 1992 against Sampdoria.
