Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City battle it out in one of the most important games of their season with both the teams looking to draw first blood in the race to finish inside the top four of the Premier League table. Tottenham hold a narrow one point lead over City but the visitors do have a game in hand and will be confident of making it count. Spurs suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Wolves last weekend, a result that saw them drop down from third in the table to fifth.

Manager Harry Redknapp expressed his disappointment over the result, adding that Wolves deserved to win the game after a poor performance from his side. Meanwhile Manchester City boss Mark Hughes will be making sure that his side does not go on another run of draws after managing to collect just one point against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday. The Citizens had registered seven draws in a row before beating Chelsea in a thrilling encounter two weeks ago. With the season entering a crucial phase, Hughes will be aware that his side can ill afford any more slip ups if they are to put up a tough challenge for a Champions League spot next season.
