Barcelona will be looking to wash away the disappointment from their last two games with a big victory over struggling Tenerife when the two teams meet in their next La Liga encounter on Sunday. The defending champions dropped two vital points against Villarreal last weekend before suffering a shock 2-1 defeat to Sevilla in the Copa del Rey clash in the midweek. However their poor performances have not proved to be costly with Real Madrid dropping points against Osasuna while they still have to play Sevilla in the second leg of Copa del Rey next week.

Tenerife has managed to collect just one point from their last three games and currently sit 17th in the league table, just two points above the drop zone. The Chicharreros had secured a shock 2-1 win over Barca the last time both the teams met at the Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez stadium back in the 2001-02 season.
