Switzerland were rocked in their Euro 2008 preparations when it emerged that coach Koebi Kuhn's wife was admitted to a hospital after suffering an epileptic fit. Kuhn has revealed that the incident will not affect his team's challenge for Euro glory.

Kuhn has sprung some surprises in his 23-man squad including Patrick Muller although the Lyon player has not played competitive games since suffering a knee injury last season. Tranquillo Barnetta is also carrying an ankle injury and his fitness is doubtful at best.

 

 

The Czech Republic are the dark horses for this particular tournament. Coached by Karel Bruckner, the team has scaled new heights in recent times.

The Czech have a solid keeper in the form of Petr Cech and his form is going to be vital for the team. Big Jan Koller will have extra work to do upfront especially in the absence of Tomas Rosicky who is injured.

His place has been taken by Marek Matejovsky, who impressed at Reading. Czech Republic have had a nice entry into the tournament with a 3-1 victory over Scotland in a friendly at Prague.
