Sweden will be hoping to collect all points on offer and make it to the semi-finals of the Euro 2009 Under-21 Championship when they take on Italy at the Olympia Stadium in Helsingborg on Friday. Star striker Marcus Berg hit a hat-trick for Sweden as they recovered from a brilliant strike from Sergei Kislyak, which gave Belarus the lead in the 33rd minute. Aleksandr Martynovich scored an own goal a minute later to restore parity. From then on it was the Berg show as the FC Groningen striker got goals in the 38th, 44th and the 81st minutes. Gustav Svensson snmatched a late goal as well to ensure the fans had a great outing. ![]() Sweden's joint-coach Jorgen Lennartsson was understandably delighted with his teams showing, but sounded a note of caution saying Italy would be a completely different proposition. However he is expected to retain the same team for this game as well. Meanwhile five-time winners Italy had a mixed outing as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Serbia in their opening encounter. Italy captain Marco Motta had a great chance in the first-half, which he failed to convert. However the best chance from either side came when Gonjo Kacar's scissor-kick went harmlessly by after crashing into the upright. Italy goalkeeper Andrea Consigli proved to be the hero for his team saving Nenad Tomovic's shot in the closing stages to earn one point. ![]() Italy will now want to win this one and stay in the hunt for a semi-final place in a group that has become competitive thanks to Sweden's emphatic win over Belarus.
