Sunderland will be looking to build on their good performance from last weekend against Wigan Athletic when they welcome Middlesbrough to the Stadium of Light on Saturday. Catch all the live soccer action on Live Sport Network.

The Black Cats came close to clinching their second successive away win in the league after having taken the lead against Wigan thanks to an own goal by Titus Bramble. However Wigan recovered to equalize late in the game through Amr Zaki to snatch a point from the match.

Manager Roy Keane will be pleased with his side's overall performance in the match and will be hoping that his new signings will settle down sooner rather than later as he looks to finish as close to the top half of the table as possible. With no other injury worries apart from Kenwyne Jones, Keane will be optimistic that his side can register its first home win this season.

Middlesbrough on the other hand will be hoping to avoid a repeat of last season's result in this fixture than saw them lose the match in injury time. Boro twice pulled back level after going a goal down but an own goal by Emanuel Pogatetz deep in injury time meant that Gareth Southgate's side had to return empty handed.

Southgate though will be optimistic of a different result this time around with his side off to a good start in the league. Boro have collected 6 points from their first four matches, losing out narrowly against Liverpool and Portsmouth and fans will be confident that their side can keep up the form for the rest of the season and finally break into the top half of the table for the first time in four seasons.
