Three wins in last five matches has seen Sunderland open a five point gap over Birmingham City and with just three more matches to go, Roy Keane's side will be able to stave off relegation should they beat Middlesbrough and Birmingham fail to win against Liverpool.

While manager Gareth Southgate will be hoping to turn around his side's form in the remaining three matches, he will be pleased with the praise he has received from Sir Bobby Robson who said that he was impressed by Southgate's tenure at Middlesbrough and tipped him to become an England manager one day.
