However they will be missing the services of striker Collins Mbesuma and defender Elijah Tana. Mbesuma is out of shape, while Tana was dropped after he failed to turn up at a training camp. Andrew Sinkala and Moses Sichone are also missing due to injuries.

Zambia's preparations have also been mixed as they lost 4-1 to Spanish club Andalucía and to Morocco 2-0.
