The Spanish side are in a comfortable position in their group table and are four points clear of Stuttgart. Sevilla followed up on their comfortable 2-0 win over Unirea Urziceni in their opening match with a 4-1 thrashing of Rangers in Scotland.

Sevilla scored four goals in 24 second half minutes with Abdoulay Konko, Adriano, Luis Fabiano and Frederic Kanoute all on target for the Andalusian club. Sevilla followed it up with an excellent performance against Real Madrid in their domestic campaign but will be missing a number of key players for the trip to Germany. Andres Palop, Sebastien Squillaci and Abdoulay Konko all missed Sevilla's match against Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday while there are fitness questions over Luis Fabiano, Ernesto Chevanton and Lautaro Acosta.

There are no such injury concerns for Vfb Stuttgart coach Markus Babbel who has the whole squad at his disposal. However poor form remains the main worry for Babbel with Stuttgart managing just two wins from their last 10 games in all competition. Having put up a strong title challenge last season, Stuttgart have struggled for form and currently sit 16th in their domestic league table. Things have not improved for Babbel's side in their European campaign with Stuttgart drawing their first two group games against Rangers and Unirea Urziceni.
