Steaua Bucharest were held to a 0-0 draw by Fiorentina in their last game after having lost their first game 0-1 to Bayern Munich. The Romanian club will need to get a result here as all other teams have played out safe draws in the group. Steaua also happen to be the only club to register a loss in the group.

Skipper Mirel Radoi and midfielder Banel Nicolita were very good for Steaua in their last game and fans will be hoping the pair can inspire the side to a win at home.

 

 

Marius Lacatus's team also needs to be aware that a result is a must simply because they may also need to compete for a third place finish.

Meanwhile Lyon drew their opening two games against Fiorentina and Bayern Munich. Lyon were down 2-0 against the Italian club on Matchday 1, but goals from Frederic Piquionne and Karim Benzema rescued a point for them. On Matchday 2, they were held to a 1-1 draw by Bayern Munich

 

 

Martín Dimichelis put Lyon ahead with an own goal, while Ze Roberto pulled it back for the German club. Lyon will also be hoping for a result in order to ensure a place in the next round.

However their hopes were dealt a blow when Mathieu Bodmer injured his groin in training. The midfielder is a major doubt for this fixture coach Claude Puel will be hoping he can be fit in time for the next game at the very least.
