Spain are clear favorites to lift their first ever World Cup trophy after displaying excellent form since winning Euro 2008. Vicente del Bosque’s side won all of their qualifying games and the three friendly games prior to the tournament including a 6-0 thrashing of Poland.

Coach Ottmar Hitzfeld expressed his confidence that Switzerland’s top goal scorer will be available for competition as he looks to secure a good result against Spain.
