Slavia Prague will be aiming to end Valencia’s seven game unbeaten run against Czech opposition when they host Los Che at Stadion Eden on Thursday in a Group B Europa League game. Slavia picked up their first point in Group B a fortnight ago when they drew with Valencia at the Mestalla. Riste Naumov’s 28^th minute strike put Slavia 1-0 ahead, but Valencia equalised through David Navarro shortly after the hour mark. It was a good result for Slavia considering they had lost their opening fixtures to Genoa and Lille 2-0 and 5-1 respectively.

After the draw against Valencia, Slavia Prague lost both their Czech Liga games. They were first beaten 2-1 by Sigma Olomuc, while Pribram proved to be too strong for them on Saturday. Tunisian midfielder Hocine Ragued is suspended for Slavia after being dismissed on Match Day 3.

Valencia are currently second in Group B with five points from three games, two behind leaders Lille. Los Che have never tasted defeat in Europe under Unai Emery, but they will be wanting to take three points out of game rather than one, given that Lille and Genoa await them in the final two fixtures.

David Navarro was also on target for Valencia in their 1-0 weekend win over Malaga.  The Spanish side will be without prolific striker David Villa for the trip to Prague. Villa was given a two match ban for kicking out at Benjamin Vomacka when Valencia met Slavia a fortnight ago. Jeremy Mathieu will miss the Match Day 5 game against Lille if he gets booked in the Czech capital.
