AC Milan begin what is probably going to be a tough season with an away fixture against Siena this weekend. AC Milan have had a bad summer by their own high standards. The departure of coach Carlo Ancelotti is sure to be felt as he had a steadying influence over the club. However the biggest blow is probably the departure of talismanic midfielder Kaka, who was sold to Real Madrid as the club was in need of finances.

New boss Leonardo will have to rely on Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Marco Borriello and Alexandre Pato to get the goals for him. Supporting this relatively young crop of strikers will be the ageing Filippo Inzaghi, Davide Di Gennaro and Ronaldinho.

Andrea Pirlo will continue to form a bulwark in the midfield, where he is expected to be supported by Massimo Ambrosini, Gennaro Gattuso and Clarence Seedorf. Leonardo is unlikely to blood in Ignazio Abate, Mathias Cardacio, Mathieu Flamini and Tabare Viudez unless something goes drastically wrong for the Rossoneri.

Oguchi Onyewu and Thiago Silva have arrived at the San Siro and are likely to provide a much-needed boost to the defense. However the main worry will be creativity and Leonardo will hope Ronaldinho will be able to provide that.

Siena are likely to provide tough competition to Milan in this game especially as they play on home soil. However AC Milan start as outright favorites for this one.
