They took the lead through an own goal from Dmytro Chigrinsky in the first half. However they did not score a second, and were punished when Fernandinho equalised midway through the second half for Shakhtar. Coach Yuri Semin was not a happy man after watching his side give away possession too easily in the second half. Dinamo beat FC Zorya Luhansk in their weekend game. Romanian midfielder Tiberiu Ghioane scored the winner as Dinamo inched closer to reclaiming the Ukrainian league. Yuri Semin’s men need only one point from their next four games to win the league.
