The Spanish side won all of their five home games in their last Champions League campaign back in 2007-08 season. Sevilla progressed to the knockout stages but lost out to Fenerbahce on penalty shootout after both the clubs had secured 3-2 wins in their respective home games.

Having lost their first group game in their last campaign, coach Manolo Jimenez will be confident of a winning start this time around with Unirea making its first appearance in the group stages of the competition.

Sevilla go into the match on Wednesday with their tails up following a thumping 4-1 win over Real Zaragoza in their domestic league match on Saturday. Luis Fabiano scored a brace while Abdoulay Konko and Diego Perotti got a goal each as Sevilla completely dominated the match.

Meanwhile Unirea coach Dan Petrescu will be hoping to replicate his side's mercurial form on the European stage. The club gained promotion to the Romanian first division just three years ago and in spite of minimum investment and with no big name, Unirea secured its first ever league title to book their place in the group stage of the Champions League.
