Sevilla tried their best to beat Juventus, but ended up losing 2-1 to the Bianconeri. Juve forward Amauri gave his side the lead in the 27^th minute, when he headed home from Alessandro Del Piero's corner. New signing Didier Zokora, Luis Fabiano, Jesus Navas and Arouna Kone all came close to equalising for Sevilla, but it was Juve who again scored.

Some good work from Jonathan Zebina allowed Italian international Vincenzo Iaquinta to double Juventus' lead by firing a low shot past Sevilla keeper Andres Palop. Former Monaco defender Sebastien Squillaci pulled one back with ten minutes to go, but Juventus held on to win 2-1.

 

 

Seven time K-League champions Seongam Ilhwa are the side with the closest ties to the Peace Cup. The Unification Church, which owns the Peace Cup, also owns the club. Seongnam, three time AFC Champions League finalists, finished third in the K-League last season. They have had a poor start to the new season, and sit a poor eighth in the table after 15 games, fourteen points behind FC Seoul.

Seongnam have several good players in their squad. One is Lee Ho, who played at Zenit St.Petersburg under Dick Advocaat. Australian born Macedonian centre back Sasa Ognenovski is another. Manager Shin Tae Young will be hoping that young Cho Dong Keon, Seongnam's highest scorer in the league so far, does not leave his scoring boots at home.
