Sevilla will be looking to build on their successful Champions League outing against Arsenal when they welcome Murcia to the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan this weekend. In their midweek La Liga clash Sevilla managed to hold Osasuna to a 1-1 draw thanks to a late goal by Gonzalez Jesus Navas.

Coach Manolo Jimenez will be happy his side managed to escape off with one point and reversed a string of successive defeats in the Primera Liga. Last Sunday Sevilla went down 1-0 to new boys Almeria. The Rojiblancos are sitting in the bottom half of the La Liga table and will want to get their campaign back on track when they take on Murcia.

The side is also struggling with injuries to key players. Defender Ivica Dragutinovic and forward Ernesto Chevanton missed the midweek clash and it is unclear if they will be fit enough for the Murcia match. Kanoute and Navarro are also out with varied injuries. Sevilla are 12th on the La Liga table with 16 points from 14 games.

Murcia have had good results in their last couple of La Liga games holding Real Madrid and Mallorca to 1-1 draws. However coach Lucas Alcaraz will be conscious of the fact that his team have not registered a win in five league and cup matches.

For Murcia, Stephane Pignol, Pablo Garcia and Curro Torres continue to struggle with various injuries, but Mario Regueiro and Alvaro Mejia are back in the side after serving one-match suspensions. Murcia are 15th in the La Liga table with 15 points from 14 games.
