Watch Catania v Empoli

These sides took three points off each other last season, with them both winning their home fixtures 2-1.

Catania coach Silvio Baldini is seeking for that formula to get his side playing in the style he wants, and collect the necessary points along the way. He currently employs a lone striker with a man in the hole behind him. The man up front Gionatha Spinesi netted 17 goals in his 32 Serie A appearances last season, and needs to find similar form to get Catania's season up and running.

Empoli have endured what can only be described as a struggle this season. Difficult games at Fiorentina and against Inter proved fruitless, and if they are to survive this season, a distinct improvement needs to take place.

This could be the game Catania finally kick start their season.


Fiorentina v Roma Live

In the last few seasons honours have been pretty much even when Fiorentina and Roma meet at the Artemio Franchi Stadium.

Fiorentina have only once had the better of Roma, while the same applies to Roma, and there have been three draws, two of which have taken place in the last two meetings.

Roma have enjoyed the better start to this season, and with the form of Francesco Totti, and the drive in midfield coming from Alberto Aquilani, it promises to be an exciting season.

Trying to stop them on Wednesday will be the Viola. Difficult to beat, they are a side that will get better as the season goes on, and in Giampaolo Mazzini, Christian Vieri, and Adrian Mutu, they have a selection of forwards likely to cause problems.


Genoa v Udinese Online

Genoa have currently struggled to come to terms with the demands of Serie A, since their return.

They need to find the right combination up front that will allow them to score enough goals to ease some of the pressure. So far that has not happened. They will be hoping for the same scoreline last time these two sides met, when Genoa won easily 3-0. That was, however, back in 1994.

Udinese hammering at home to Napoli 5-0, almost snapped them into action. The win away at Juventus so far the highlight of the early season. There is no doubting the quality at Udinese, Antonio Di Natale is in good form, Gyan Asamoah a real handful and in Fabio Quagliarella they have young player with bags of potential.

Difficult one to call, but you have to fancy Udinese to pick something up from this game.


Inter Milan v Sampdoria Live Online

The champions will not give their title up easily, and despite their shock defeat at Fenerbahce in the Champions League, Inter will regain their focus for Serie A live. During that game in Turkey, Inter Milan had to completely re-shuffle their defence due to injuries and suspensions, but indeed it was the attack that lacked any cutting edge.

David Suazo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are still coming to terms with each other's style of play, yet Sampdoria will do well to remain watchful.

Sampdoria's inconsistency means that you are unaware which side will turn up on any given day, and they will not be relishing this trip to the San Siro. Antonio Cassano may well be ready to kick off his career with his new club, which will give the side a major boost, Vincenzo Montella continues to lead the attack well.


Watch Juventus v Reggina Live

It would be easy to say that you cannot see anything other than a home win here. Of course that mistake may well have been made when Udinese visited not so long ago. Such things cannot be taken for granted, yet it would be difficult to imagine Juventus slip up again here.

Reggina have struggled so far, and need to look to score goals from midfield to ensure they do not over rely on the goals from Nicola Amoruso.

Juventus have inspired a great deal of confidence with their defensive displays so far, so it is possible that Jorge Andrade and Domenico Criscito can be rattled. It is a partnership very much in its infancy.

The obvious threat of Trezeguet, Del Piero, Nedved etc, may prove to be be too much for the travelling Reggina.


Lazio v Cagliari Live Online

Lazio's are fast becoming the draw specialists, with their first three Serie A games ending this way. They can boast a threatening strikeforce in Goran Pandev Tommaso Rocchi, but of course these guys can not fire without the necessary ammunition.

One player who could have supplied the duo would have been Lazio tricky, creative wide man, Pasquale Foggia, however, he has been loaned out to Wednesday's visitors Cagliari. Foggia has built on his reputation in the opening weeks, consistently threatening down the right hand side, and with a decent final ball to boot.

A game that neither side can afford to take lightly, with another Lazio draw a real possibility.

Napoli v Livorno Online Streams

It is no secret that Livorno have to tighten up defensively, in fact it is stating the obvious. A trip to San Paolo is perhaps not the ideal tonic, especially as Napoli appear to be finding their feet in Serie A.

Marcelo Zalayeta arrived at Napoli from Juventus with a point to prove, and is becoming a key member of the Napoli side, he has already netted three times this season.

Livorno coach Fernando Orsi will have experienced midfielder Jose Vidigal back from suspension, while summer signing Vikash Dhorasoo can not be too far from his Livorno debut.

The visitors will find it tough in the atmosphere at the San Paolo, and I expect Napoli to be too strong for them.

Palermo v AC Milan Online

A goalless draw was the result in the corresponding fixture last season, and the way things have gone this season, that is a score that Palermo would take right now.

AC Milan have been playing some wonderful football, yet perhaps need their strikers to find the back of the net with more regularity in Serie A. It is unclear as to whether Ronaldo will be fit to make his Serie A bow for the season, that being the case it will come down to a straight choice between Pippo Inzaghi and Alberto Gilardino.

Paolo Maldini will still be absent, and more than likely so will Serginho. A player that has impressed down the left has been full back Marek Jankulovski, who is not only solid defensively but has attacked, when possible, with intent.

Palermo's squad will be fully tested this season, as is the case when a club also has European commitments. The skill for coach Stefano Colantuono will be managing his players during the hectic periods. Not an easy task for a young manager. The home side will have to be somewhere near their best if they are to pull off that 0-0 draw.

Watch Parma v Torino Live Online

Parma are yet to register a victory this season, and will see a travelling Torino side as an ideal opportunity.

Not to be underestimated though, Walter Novellino is building a side capable of upsetting the odds. The signing of Inter forward Alvaro Recoba may yet be inspirational, if he continues to link up impressively with Alessandro Rosina, that first Parma victory may have to wait a little longer.

Bernardo Corradi gives them a physical presence up front, and Parma's home form is certainly a marked improvement from their away exploits. A closely contested game expected, with one goal possibly being the difference either way.

Siena v Atalanta Live Serie A

Atalanta coach Luigi Del Neri is a firm believer in his team having the solid look of two banks of four. Any changes he does make, will fluctuate between using two strikers or as is likely here, employing Cristiano Doni just behind veteran striker Riccardo Zampagna. It has served him well in this campaign to date, and Siena will have to work hard to make inroads into this set up.

Siena coach Andrea Mandorlini will be well known to Atalanta, as he coached them for a short spell during 2003/04. Their best result this season was their draw at home to Milan, despite Massimo Maccarone being gifted his goal, Siena hung on well, and showed what they can be capable of. A tough game to call, with Siena just edging the game and inflicting a rare defeat on Atalanta.
