Atlanta v Parma Live
Both sides opened the season with a draw, and will hope to push on in this fixture.
Atlanta will be strengthend by the expected addition of injury ravaged striker Simone Inzaghi on loan from Lazio, to exert pressure on Riccardo Zampagna's place up front. Inzaghi may have to be content with a place on the bench for now. Top scorer last season Cristiano Doni, opened his account for the season with a penalty on the opening day, and will aim to notch again this week. Brazilian midfielder Ferreira Pinto has fully recovered from the knock he picked up against Reggina.
Parma have no new injury worries, perhaps barring Coach Mimmi Di Carlo nursing a tender backside, following last weeks sideline events. Fernando Couto is once again expected to miss out, while Daniele Dessena returns from suspension.
Watch Cagliari v Juventus Live
Despite losing crucial attacking options in the summer, Cagliari started with an impressive victory on the opening weekend, overhauling newly promoted Napoli, however, Juventus offer a different proposition.
Juventus played like a side that had never been away from Serie A, and Cagliari's defence will need to be on top form to contain David Trezeguet, Del Piero, Nedved, Iaquinta and co. A number of Juve players were rested for the midweek Coppa Italia tie against Parma, and should be fresh and firing come Sunday.
Claudio Ranieri is expected to name an unchanged side to the one that took Livorno apart, meaning Portugese midfielder Tiago will have to start on the bench again. Despite Iaquinta's double, Del Piero and Trezeguet are likely to get the nod.
The last 5 times these sides have met at Stadio Sant'Elia, the spoils have been shared. They have both won one game, and there has been three draws, with only 6 goals being scored.
Catania v Genoa Live
Catania coach Silvio Baldini will have to watch on from the stands for the next month, following his suspension after giving Parma coach Domenico Di Carlo a kick up the backside. Despite this, it is expected that Baldini will initiate one or two changes to his starting line up, despite picking up a decent point at Parma last weekend. It is Catania's first game back at the Angelo Massimino Stadium since the tragedy last February, so it promises to be an emotional return.
Genoa will have been disappointed to lose so comprehensively to Milan last week, but the consolation is that not all teams are up to Milan's standard. Gian Piero Gasperini may well shuffle his pack, with Gaetano De Rossi and Brazilian Fabiano pushing hard for a place in the starting XI.
Last season's top scorer Martins Adailton is still missing, so the emphasis is placed on the experienced Marco Di Vaio to find the net.
Watch Empoli v Inter Milan Live
Both Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini and Empoli counterpart Luigi Cagni will have been disappointed by their sides opening games last weekend. Inter stuttered to a unimpressive 1-1 draw with Udinese, admittedly with 10 men on the park for the remaining 33 minutes, while Empoli were outplayed in the Tuscan derby by the exciting Fiorentina.
With Julio Cesar being sent off for Inter on the opening day, Francesco Toldo will be given the chance to make the number 1 spot his own. Christian Chivu is likely to make his full debut at centre back, in place of either Ivan Cordoba, or Walter Samuel, who looked uneasy up against Gyan Asamoah last week. Julio Cruz's place is also under scrutiny, following his ineffective display, Hernan Crespo and David Suazo will hope for selection, while Adriano's future remains unclear at this moment in time.
Cagni is also likely to make changes to his side, Davide Moro is expected to take his place in the midfield, and further changes may be implimented in an attempt to stop Inter gaining their first three points of the season.
Livorno v Palermo Live
All the talk surrounding Livorno pre-season, was the loss of their main striker and the club's all time top goalscorer Cristiano Lucarelli. They received a healthy amount of money for Lucarelli, and invested in Francesco Tavano, Diego Tristan, and Fausto Rossini, all of whom featured at Juventus in their opening game, but not to great effect.
It is of course early days for these players, and coach Fernando Orsi will certainly hope for a decent return of goals between them, so Palermo beware. Fellow summer signings Vikash Dhorasoo and Giuliano Giannichedda are both still unavailable through injury.
In terms of strikers wanting to prove a point, Fabrizio Miccoli was Palermo's shining light last week against Roma, and was unfortunate not to get a goal, when his long distance effort struck the post. Palermo improved in the second half against Roma, and all three substitutes will be looking for a start. Mark Bresciano could win back his place in midfield, following an uncertain summer regarding where he will be playing this year. The young Uruguayan Edison Cavani is an exciting option, while Giulio Migliaccio is expected to win his first start.
Watch Milan v Fiorentina Live
This is a mouth watering clash between a side full of experienced players that have been there and done it in AC Milan, and in Fiorentina you have a team with exceptional potential.
It has never been a particularly happy hunting ground for the Viola, and they will look to put that right, but in there way is a Milan side at virtually full strength, barring the still absent Paolo Maldini, who is yet to recover from his knee problem. This is of course presuming Milan come through Friday's Super Cup unscathed.
Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli's biggest worry is the fitness concerns over Italian Under 21 star Riccardo Montolivo, but he is expected to play. Tomas Ujfalusi returns from his suspension, while Christian Vieri will hope for the chance to impress his former employers, where he was used in just 8 appearances in 2005/06.
Watch Roma v Siena Live
When the fixtures were announced, Roma coach Luciano Spalletti will have noted how difficult the opening stages of the season may be. So with that in mind, the seemingly low key game against Siena, now becomes an absolute must win game, if Roma are to stay in touch with the top sides.
This is of course not to say they will not defeat the stronger sides, but Spalletti will settle for nothing other than three points in this fixture.
Brazilian Cicinho made a brief appearance as a substitute last week and it is widely thought he may go one better against Siena and make the starting line-up. His national compatriot Juan is still out through injury. Simone Perrotta returns from his ban, but may find his route to the starting side firmly blocked by Alberto Aquilani, who scored an outstanding long range effort against Palermo.
Siena started with a home defeat to Sampdoria, and early indications suggest it may be a long season for Andrea Mandorlini, unless Massimo Maccarone and Enrico Chiesa can consistently find the back of the net.
Sampdoria v Lazio Live
Both these sides have there fair share of absentees at present, whether that is through injury or players currently not ready for the rigours of 90 minutes in Serie A.
Pietro Accardi, Emiliano Bonazzoli, Daniele Gastaldello and Mirko Pieri make up Sampdoria's casualty list, while Antonio Cassano is still not deemed ready.
Lazio are fresh from their midweek Champions League success, and while spirits will be high, it is hoped bodies will not be tired. It did not go without a hitch as Guglielmi Stendardo suffered a thigh injury as was replaced by Lionel Scaloni.
He joins Sebastiano Siviglia, Stefano Mauri, Aleksandar Kolarov, and Modibo Diakhite on the injury list.
In the last 5 visits to Luigi Ferraris Stadium, Lazio have won 3 times, Sampdoria twice. However, the hosts have won the last two games there by the same scoreline, 2-0.
Watch Torino v Reggina Live
Reggina had the upper hand in this fixture earlier on this year, when they won 2-1. The goalscorers in that game were Rolando Bianchi for Reggina and Gianluca Comotto for Torino. Neither player will be competing in this particular fixture, with Bianchi leaving for the English Premiership, and Comotto suspended following his dismissal against Lazio last week.
Midfielder Tommaso Vailatti may shift to right-back. The 21-year old spent last season on loan to Vicenza, and appears to have a bright future.
Reggina have a near full strength squad to select from, except for the injured Miguel Garcia, who is not due back in the near future, although changes are likely to be made to last week's starting line-up.
Udinese v Napoli Live
Here is two sides with contrasting efforts on the pitch in Week 1, while Udinese will have been pleased with their point at Inter, coming by way of an injury time own goal, Napoli begun poorly at Stadio San Paolo, and the fans chose to voice their discontent.
Away from the home pressures, Napoli will hope to get their season going, but will not find it easy at Friuli Stadium.
Udinese will have goalkeeper Samir Handanovic available, and he is likely to start in place of Antonio Chimenti, who may pay the price for his error in allowing Inter's Stankovic to open the scoring last week.
Napoli have Paolo Cannavaro, Maurizio Domizzi and Fabio Gatti all back from suspension, and challenging for a starting berth. Both Cannavaro and Domizzi were part of a formidable Napoli defence last term, however, that will not necessarily guarantee them a place back in the first eleven.
The last time these two sides met at Friuli Stadium was back in 2001, when neither team could break the deadlock.
