Serbia have a slim chance of going through to the Euro 2008 finals in Austria and Switzerland provided they win their last two qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Poland. Kazakhstan on the other hand will be playing for pride and hoping to stay off the bottom in Group A.

The qualifying campaign could very well end in a heart break for the Serbians as they need a slip up by Portugal to go through to the Euro 2008 finals even if they manage to win both their remaining matches. Serbia are currently third in the group table with 20 points from 12 games, three less than Portugal who play Armenia and Finland.

Serbia coach Javier Clemente will be boosted by the return of Ivica Dragutinovic, who served out his suspension along with Nemanja Vidic and Mladen Krstajic with both the players recovering from their injuries. Clemente has included Captain Dejan Stanković in his 24-man squad in spite of the midfielder suffering from an ankle injury.

Meanwhile Kazakhstan will be hoping to end the qualifying campaign as far away from the foot of the table as possible. Arno Pijpers' side are currently 7th in the group table with two points more than bottom placed Azerbaijan who do have two games in hand.

Kazakhstan will be looking to repeat the 2-1 victory over Serbia, their only win of the campaign which came early in March. Pijpers has had his options limited for the final two matches with injuries to key players such as Samat Smakov and Andrei Karpovitch leaving the team short of quality against Serbia. Dmitri Lyapkin, Daniyar Mukanov and Eduard Sergienko find a place in the 23-man squad in spite of suffering minor injuries.
