Scotland take on Netherlands in their next World Cup qualification game with George Burley's side desperately hoping to avoid a defeat on Wednesday. You can watch all the live soccer from that game by signing up with us here on Live Sport Network.

The Scots are currently second in the group table and with just one match remaining in the group they can qualify for the play-offs if they manage to avoid defeat against a Netherlands side that has already booked a place in the World Cup finals next year.

While the Dutch have won all their seven matches, the rest of the sides in the group have struggled to collect points with Scotland managing just 10 from their seven games and are currently three points ahead of Macedonia and Norway who play each other.

Scotland will qualify for the play-offs even if they lose against the Dutch provided the game between Macedonia and Norway ends in a draw. However George Burley will be expecting at least a draw on Wednesday with Scotland playing the game on their home soil.

Having gone into their game against Macedonia level on points with their opponents, Scotland put in an excellent performance with goals from Scott Brown and James McFadden propelling them to a comfortable 2-0 win.

However they face a tough task against Netherlands who, in spite of having wrapped up their qualification in style, will be looking to maintain their 100 percent record in the qualifying campaign.
