The knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League gets underway this Tuesday and Live Sport Network brings you all the action as it happens on the pitch. Schalke welcome Porto to the Arena AufSchalke in Gelsenkirchen hoping to get an outright win and strengthen their chances of making it to the quarterfinals.

Schalke 04 have enjoyed a nice run in the German Bundesliga and are currently on the third spot in that league. Coach Mirko Slomka will be hoping his side can replicate the same performance in Champions League live as well.

The German side has added to their squad in the winter break and has brought in Albert Streit, Levan Kenia and Ze Roberto besides Uruguay striker Vicente Sanchez. Schalke are allowed to make three new registrations before the Porto tie and may very well include all these players although Sanchez looks likely to miss out.

Schalke will also welcome back Christian Pander after a three-month layoff following a knee injury. However he is a doubtful starter for the first leg of the round of 16. Schalke qualified for the knockout stages by finishing second in Group B behind Chelsea.

Porto on the other hand will be quietly confident traveling to Schalke. The Portuguese champions have had a great season in the domestic league and will now want to set their sights on a Champions League crown.

Porto have also called up several players for the tie. Most notably Rabiola returns from loan at Vitória SC. Meanwhile Ricardo Quaresma and Raul Meireles have extended their contracts with the club for long periods of time.
