After being held to a disappointing 1-1 draw in their opening match of the season, Inter have quickly found their stride and moved to the top of the table with 13 points from their first five games, one point ahead of Juventus who do have a game in hand.

With his side clear favorites to secure a comfortable victory over Rubin Kazan in their Champions League match in the midweek, manager Jose Mourinho will be putting out his strongest side on the field with a view of securing another comfortable victory after beating Napoli 3-1 in the midweek. Meanwhile Sampdoria will be looking to get back to winning ways as they suffered their first defeat of the season with a 2-0 defeat away to Fiorentina on Wednesday. Sampdoria were off to a perfect start to their new season winning their first four games but were unable to stop a rampant Fiorentina side who cruised to a comfortable victory thanks to goals from Stevan Jovetic and Alberto Gilardino.

After finishing a lowly 13th last season, coach Luigi Del Neri will be looking to build on his side's good start and hope to finish at least in the top half of the league table come the end of the season.
