Inter Milan enter the new season with aspirations of making it four league titles in a row and after edging out Roma on penalties in the Italian Super Cup last weekend, will feel full of confidence. With a strong nucleus of players to choose from, Mourinho must be rubbing his hands in glee at the prospect of retaining the Italian Serie A title. On Saturday they will be without Patrick Vieira who has a thigh injury while 34 year-old defender Marco Materazz is also doubtful

After finishing 9^th last season on 49 points, Sampdoria for their part will be looking to build on that and push for a European place. Antonio Cassano is probably the player to look out for in the team and when he is on form, anything can happen.
