Scottish Premier League Live Fixtures Week 5Watch Dundee United v Falkirk Live
Dundee manager Craig Levein will be hoping that his team carries on from where they left off in this Scottish Premier League live football match against Falkirk. He will again rely on Noel Hunt to do the majority of the work up front, but may have signed two further strikers before this game and Dundee certainly need them before the transfer window closes. Having scored only 2 goals in open play the statistics speak for themselves and everyone connected with Dundee United will know that unless new strikers come in, then come the end of the season they will not be any where near their current position of 5th.
Despite loosing three games in a row now, Falkirk will be reasonably happy with their performances in the Scottish Premier League. Against the two old firm clubs those who watch football live will have seen that they more than matched both Rangers and Celtic, even though the results didn’t reflect this. Boss John Hughes will be hoping for a change in their fortunes sooner rather than later, because if they are going to challenge for European places and show strong performances in the cup competitions they will need to start finding results soon.
Falkirk fans may even forgive the team to start forgetting about playing well, but on the condition that they grind out some results now, to get points on the board. What is clear is that their position in the league does not reflect the quality in their squad and perhaps this weekend s game away to Dundee, will prove to be a turning point for Falkirk to start climbing the table.
Watch Hibernian v Inverness CT Live
Inverness go into this game rooted to the bottom of the table with only two goals so far, albeit away goals. But light is shining on the horizon in the shape of new manager Craig Brewster. After the surprise departure of Charlie Christie last week, the board at Inverness acted quickly to lure Craig Brewster back to the Caledonian Stadium for a second chance to show if he has what it takes to manage in the Scottish Premier League.
Brewster comes in as a registered player and will no doubt be seen with his boots on sooner rather than later. His form at Aberdeen has been inspiring for the youngsters at that club, as people who watch live football will have seen for themselves and he will hope to be able to restore the confidence of a shell shocked Inverness forward line. Brewster knows that all is not lost at this stage, as other clubs are within striking distance if they can start to put some results together. An easier fixture would have been preferred as Hibernian have not lost at home this season, but the attitude that Brewster will bring to the club is that there has to be a first time!
Hibernian remain unbeaten so far this season and will be confident of taking all three points from Inverness. Their goal scoring has not been a problem at all, averaging almost two goals scored in each live football game. Strikers Zemmama and Fletcher will be relishing this game, but should be aware that the thorn in their side for the 3-3 draw last weekend against Aberdeen was none other than the new Inverness manager Craig Brewster!
Still Hibernian will not worry about this too much as they will be wanting to add pressure on the top two, courtesy of three points from this match. With cup competitions starting, it is important for Hibernian to stay focused on all fronts. They must not allow themselves to be distracted as many teams have found to their cost that things change very quickly in the Scottish Premier League. What starts as a promising season, can be destroyed in the space of a week.
Watch Kilmarnock v Aberdeen Live
Jimmy Calderwood will realise that now is the time for Aberdeen to start showing what they are made of and what their intentions are for this season. The time for excuses is rapidly running out for the team who have promised much in parts, but that have also showed a sloppy side to their game for all who watch football live to see. Having led their last game by two goals away to Hibernian, it must have been doubly infuriating for Calderwood to see his team allow Hibernian to draw level in the last twenty minutes of the match. For much of the start of this season Aberdeen have been living on the memories of the last day of the last season, when they enjoyed a 2-0 win over Rangers. They must now get down to work and earn some credits for this new season by winning their first match!.
Unfortunately for Aberdeen they have now lost their top scorer Craig Brewster who left to take over the manager’s post at Inverness. Calderwood believes that Brewster has had a positive effect on the Aberdeen strikers and now will be the time for them to show what they have learned from the veteran striker.
Kilmarnock go into this home fixture after suffering their first defeat of the season at home to Rangers. They will want to bounce back quickly in this live football match and will look to cancel out what will be a new striking partnership for Aberdeen, whilst adding to their goal scoring tally for the season. All five of their goals have been scored by different individuals and whilst this will please manager Jim Jeffries, he will also want to start see the strikers convert more goals and amassing a decent count for themselves. At the opposite end, Alan Combe and his defenders have played reasonably well and so should allow the rest of the team to play an attacking game against the visitors.
Watch Motherwell v Hearts Live
Fans will enjoy being able to watch live football as Motherwell entertain Hearts in what may at the start of the season have been seen as Hearts as the team in ascendancy. How things have change quickly for the Edinburgh club. Confidence must be at an all time low following their 5 goal defeat to Celtic last week and a trip to the team who are third at the present time will not be a fixture which the hearts team will be looking forward to.
Coupled with the injury to unlucky Kevin McCann, the team will do well to take any points at all from this trip. Unfortunately for Hearts, rumours have started again about dressing room unrest with regards to the management involvement in the day to day running of the team, which cannot be helping the situation and assistant manager Stephen Frail has even gone on record to say that he would accept being sacrificed for the sake of the club. Unfortunately for Frail even that may not guarantee a string of positive results for the club at the present time.
Motherwell in contrast must be light headed with their start to the season so far. They are the team who people are tuning in to watch live football and if this match goes in their favour they may find themselves in second place if results go their way!
Motherwell manager Mark McGhee certainly has turned things around at the club and will hope that the points carry on accumulating at a steady rate. The good thing for McGhee is that goals are being scored throughout the team, which in turn is giving the team the confidence to have an attacking attitude, although they should also remember that they are conceding an average of one goal in each of their matches so far.
