Chelsea could become one of the first clubs to book their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League on Tuesday when they play Roma at Stadio Olympico. Watch all the live streaming soccer here on Live Sport Network.

 

 

A win for Chelsea coupled with a loss for Bordeaux against CFR Cluj in the other match will see Chelsea wrap up their qualification to the next round on Tuesday. But Roma will be keen to avenge their narrow 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge in their last match. John Terry scored the winner from a corner 14 minutes from time after the Italian club had matched their opponents for much of the game.

The win saw Chelsea go four points clear of third placed Roma and another three points this Tuesday will all but confirm their place in the knockout stages. However injuries continue to dog Chelsea with defender Ricardo Carvalho becoming the latest to join the ranks of the walking wounded.

 

 

The Portuguese defender injured his thigh against Hull City in midweek and may be out for at least two weeks. Joe Cole, Michael Ballack and Michael Essien are also doubtful starters for this game. However Didier Drogba has recovered from his knee injury and may play some role in this match.

The English club starts the game as favorites with Roma struggling for form both in the Champions League and in the domestic league. Pressure has increased substantially on coach Luciano Spalletti after a very poor start to the season that has seen Roma slip to 16th in the Serie A table with eight games played.

 

 

The Giallorossi have had a forgettable European sojourn till date losing to debutants CFR 1907 Cluj on Matchday 1. Roma had gone unbeaten at the Stadio Olimpico for nine UEFA Champions League games, but have now lost two there.
