Roma welcome Bordeaux in their final Champions League group stage match on Tuesday with the Italian club needing just a point to qualify for the next round. Watch all the live Champions League action here on Live Sport Network.

 

 

Having collected just three points from their first three matches, Roma hit form at home against Chelsea when they secured a comfortable 3-1 win over the Blues before notching up a second win away to CFR Cluj in their last match.

Matteo Brighi opened the scoring for Roma early in the 11th minute before Francesco Totti doubled the lead 12 minutes later. Cluj pulled one back through Yssouf Kone in the 30th minute but Brighi put the result beyond doubt by scoring his second goal of the match midway through the second half.

 

 

The win leaves Roma with nine points from five matches and the Italian club could finish the group at the top of the table should they manager to collect all three points on Tuesday.

Bordeaux on the other hand will have to beat Roma if they are to have any chances of making it to the knockout stages. With the French club losing away to Chelsea in the opening group match, Bordeaux will fail to make it to the next round even if they are level on points with the English club.

 

 

Bordeaux have already lost at home to Roma in their first leg and are expected to come away from Italy empty handed though they are assured of a place in the UEFA Cup next round should they fail to win their last remaining match.
