Real were in some trouble when Zurich hit back to reduce the score to 2-3, but Ronaldo finally came good and it is clear to see why club President Perez was willing to loosen his pocket to get the Portuguese winger to the Bernebeu.

Xerez CD on the other hand will be wary of the threat posed by the Galacticos. Already, the club, which is playing in the La Liga for the first time ever in its history, is placed at the bottom after losing both its opening games.
