Real Madrid will be looking to maintain their position at the top of the league table when they welcome Osasuna in their next La Liga fixture on Sunday.

Bernd Schuster's side are in good form, having won three of their last four matches and are four points clear at the top of the league table with 35 points from 15 matches. Madrid overcame a resilient Athletic Bilbao team with Rudd Van Nistelrooy scoring the winner in a hard-earned victory last weekend.

With Madrid scheduled to play Barcelona next week, Schuster will be looking to go into that fixture maintaining their four point advantage over arch rivals with a comfortable victory over Osasuna. Madrid will be without Royston Drenthe, Gabriel Heinze and Roberto Soldado with all the three players yet to recover from injuries.

Meanwhile Osasuna will be looking to build on their 2-0 victory over Mallorca in Copa del Rey and get something out of the match against Madrid on Sunday. José Ángel Ziganda's have won just one of their last five matches and will be keen to return back to form in order to move as far away from the relegation zone as possible.

Osasuna impressed in the 0-0 draw against Valencia in their last match but were unable to collect all three points in spite of create decent chances. Ziganda will be hoping for a better performance from the strikers if his side is to avoid a repeat of last season's defeat to Madrid.
