Madrid are without a win in their last three matches, dropping two vital points against Sporting Gijon in their last match that has seen them slip three points behind league leaders Barcelona.

The Los Blancos suffered a shock 4-0 defeat to Segunda Division B side Alcorcon in their Copa del Rey match on Tuesday. Pressure will be high on Pellegrini to lead his side to a victory on Saturday and failure to do so will put the former Villarreal manager under the scanner so early in the season.

Madrid will be without Cristiano Ronaldo who is expected to be out of action for at least another week though Pellegrini could put the Portuguese winger on the bench with hopes of sending him on as a substitute should his side flounder against Getafe.

While Madrid do start the game as favorites, Getafe will be going all out for a victory and maintain their recent good form that has seen them win three of their last five games. The Azulones registered their fourth win of the season with a comfortable 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao last weekend.

Roberto Soldado opened the scoring on the hour mark before Daniel Parejo wrapped up the points by doubling the lead from the penalty spot with just 19 minutes remaining on the clock.
