Madrid clinched the title with almost two weeks remaining and will now focus on preparing for a team that can mount a realistic challenge on Europe in the next season. Club President Ramon Calderon has indicated that there will not be any major changes to the team although the Galacticos still profess an interest in Manchester United and Portuguese wonder Cristiano Ronaldo.

Last week Madrid drew 2-2 at Real Zaragoza to plunge the latter into relegation crisis. Ruud van Nistelrooy and Robinho scored for Madrid, while Ricardo Oliveira and Sergio Garcia replied for Zaragoza.

Madrid coach Bernd Schuster will hope his side can finish off on a high with seven successive wins. Iker Casillas, Pepe, Gabriel Heinze, Raul, Fernando Gago, Roberto Soldado and Arjen Robben could miss out again through injury and suspensions.

Meanwhile Levante players are planning to strike ahead of their game against Real Madrid to protest against unpaid wages. In their last game, Levante were mauled 1-5 by Valencia thanks to a hat-trick by David Villa.

Mata and Miguel Angulo got the other goals, while Jose Serrano pulled one back for Levante. The club coach Jose Angel Moreno saw his team relegated two weeks ago with a loss to Recreativo Huelva. The team are without Damiano Tommasi, Shota Arveladze, Miguel Angel and David Castedo who miss out through injury.
