Rangers will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table when they welcome Hearts for their next league game this weekend. You can watch all the live SPL football from the Ibrox Stadium by signing up with us here on Live Sport Network.

The Gers have built up a commanding nine-point lead at the top of the SPL table over title rivals Celtic although the latter have played one game less. Rangers played Hamilton Academical three times over the last two weeks; with two games being cup ties, while one was in the SPL.

That game was won by a slender 1-0 margin thanks to a late goal from Nacho Novo. The Gers also emerged victorious in the Cup replay on Tuesday beating the Accies 2-0.

Manager Walter Smith will be delighted with his side's showing and will hope they can continue in the same vein for the rest of the season. Kenny Miller and Lee McCulloch have served their respective suspensions and should be back for this game, but Pedro Mendes, Steven Naismith and DaMarcus Beasley continue to be sidelined.

Meanwhile Hearts moved to the fifth spot on the SPL table with a 1-0 win over St Mirren last week. Michael Stewart's first-half penalty following a hand-ball from St Mirren midfielder Murray was the only difference between the two sides.

Manager Csaba Laszlo will be hoping for similar commitment from his side this weekend, but will continue to be without striker Calum Elliot for at least eight weeks. However Lee Wallace has recovered from a heel injury and should feature in this game.
