The Gers dropped two points against Motherwell in a midweek game; coming from behind to grab a 1-1 draw. Tom Hateley had given Well a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute, but returning striker Kris Boyd grabbed an 80th minute equalizer to ensure that Rangers came away with at least one point.

The draw means Rangers' lead at the top of the table over Celtic is now 8 points. Manager Walter Smith will want to further stretch this lead. For this game, DaMarcus Beasley continues to miss out with a thigh injury.

Meanwhile Hibernian were lucky to escape with a 2-2 draw at Easter Road against Aberdeen. Michael Paton and Steven MacLean put Aberdeen 2-0 up by 34 minutes, but second half goals from Anthony Stokes and Abdessalam Benjelloun gave the Hibs one point from the game that took them to 43 points from 23 games played so far. Manager John Hughes has a fully fit squad at his disposal for this game.
