Rangers vs Hearts LiveHearts will be itching to set it right this weekend when they visit the Ibrox for a clash with Rangers. In their last SPL game, Hearts lost 1-2 to Motherwell at home and this has not gone down well with the fans.
Although Andrew Driver gave Hearts an early lead on 12 minutes as he fired in an Andrius Velicka cross, Hearts were unable to preserve the lead not build on it and a buoyant Motherwell seized advantage. ![]() However in the second half Chris Porter equalized, while an unlucky Marius Zaliukas scored an own goal to give Motherwell a deserved win, which sees them go to the third spot of the Scottish Premier League table.
Pinilla is the only injury concern for Hearts with a strained hamstring and is being monitored on a day-today basis. Another concern is that striker Michal Pospisil could leave in January. The top goal scorers for the club are Driver and Velicka with 5 SPL goals each. Hearts are seventh on the SPL table with 20 points from 16 games.
Rangers go into their match with Hearts after successfully postponing last week's SPL clash against Gretna citing UEFA Champions League engagements. Rangers need to win against Lyon to qualify for the knock out phase and they have made it clear where their priorities lie.
Rangers manager Walter Smith though has some injury concerns ahead of that game with Jean-Claude Darcheville, Nacho Novo and DaMarcus Beasley all out with injuries. It is unclear if they will be fit for the Hearts clash.
Rangers are second on the SPL table with 31 points from 14 games. The club's top scorer is Boyd with six goals.
