The Gers moved ten points clear at the top of the table after a 2-0 win over St Mirren on Wednesday. Goals from Steven Davis and Nacho Novo gave the Gers a well-deserved win and almost ensured that they can cruise through this season although rivals Celtic have a game in hand.

Manager Walter Smith will hope his side do not lose focus at this stage and continue to rattle up the wins. DaMarcus Beasley could return this week after recovering from a thigh injury, but Maurice Edu remains sidelined and Madjid Bougherra absent as he is still at the African Nations Cup with Algeria.

Meanwhile Falkirk's season is looking all but doomed despite the fact that they salvaged a point against Motherwell at home on Wednesday. Falkirk were unable to break the 0-0 deadlock despite having a one-man advantage after Giles Coke was sent off for Well in the 45th minute.

Tam Scobbie continues to miss out for Falkirk with a pelvic injury, but Jackie McNamara should be back for this game.
