Portsmouth finally sorted out the transfer mess involving Zimbabwean striker Benjani and completed his move to Manchester City. However Pompey boss Harry Redknapp has said that misfit David Nugent will not be allowed to go on loan back to his old club.

Sylvain Distin has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, but he could be fit for the Preston tie. Jermaine Defoe is cup-tied and cannot play the game against Preston.
