Portugal welcome Albania to the Dr. Magalhaes Pessoa Stadium hoping to return to winning ways following their0-0 draw against Sweden on Saturday. Watch all the live World Cup qualifiers here on Live Sport Network.

 

 

Portugal have had a rocky start to their qualifying campaign so far. New boss Carlos Queiroz started off with a bang as his side routed Malta 4-0. However in their second game, Portugal shockingly lost 2-3 to Denmark. In their previous game, Portugal were unable to break the deadlock in Sweden.

In fact Sweden will be blaming themselves for missing many chances and Johan Elmander would be specially upset at having squandered at least three golden chances.

 

 

Portugal need a win badly and Albania might just be in for a trashing. Ricardo Carvalho, Simao Sabrosa, Deco and Maniche miss out due to injuries, but Cristiano Ronaldo is back after an ankle surgery.

Meanwhile Albania slipped to a shock 2-0 loss to Hungary away from home thanks to two goals in the second half by Sandor Torghelle and Roland Juhasz. Albania had emerged as shock leaders in Group One after beating Malta 3-0 and holding Sweden to a 0-0 draw.

 

 

However they were totally outclassed by Hungary and will be wary of visiting wounded Portugal.
