Portugal will be looking to consolidate their position near the top of the table when they play Armenia in their Euro 2008 qualifying match on Saturday.

Portugal are currently sitting second in the group table with 23 points from 12 games played. While the team is three points clear of Serbia in third position, coach Luiz Felipe Scolari will be looking to go into the final match of the qualifier in the best frame of mind needing just a point to clinch qualification.

Real Madrid defender Pepe gets another call up to the national team after he dropped out of last month's qualifier with a thigh injury. Scolari has left out a number of players including Jorge Andrade, Petit, Deco, João Moutinho and Paulo Ferreira while Manuel Fernandes and Jorge Ribeiro get a look in for the final part of the qualifying campaign.

Cristiano Ronaldo will once again prove to be the key man for Portugal and the Manchester United winger is in lethal touch in front of the goal and has so far scored 8 goals for his national team in the campaign.

Meanwhile Armenia's bid to launch a late qualification bid was washed out in the 3-0 defeat at the hands of Belgium last month. Armenia is positioned sixth in the group table with 9 points from 10 games and will now be looking to finish as high up the table as possible.
