Portsmouth will be desperate for collecting their first point of the new Premier League season when they take on another in form team on Saturday with Everton looking to register their third win in four matches at Fratton Park. Pompey gathered an unwanted recognition last weekend when they lost 2-0 to Aston Villa to register the worst start by a club in Premier League history with six straight defeats that sees them occupy the foot of the league table.

The Toffees marked their stunning 4-0 win over AEK Athens in the Europa League with another convincing display over the weekend that saw them beat Blackburn Rovers 3-0 at Goodison Park.

Louis Saha scored a goal in each half while Josep Yobo added the third as Everton completely dominated the game both in terms of chances and possession. Everton continue to grapple with injuries with midfielder Diniyar Bilyaletdinov joining the treatment table following a groin injury against AEK Athens and is expected to be out of action for at least a week.
