Just three points from last eight matches has seen Blackburn slip into the relegation zone and with fans expecting at least a top half finish this season, Paul Ince will have to turn things around sooner rather than later if he is to remain in the job.

Blackburn suffered their third straight defeat last weekend as a Roman Pavlyuchenko goal in the 9th minute handed over all three points to Tottenham Hotspur. It was a disappointing performance from Blackburn who are struggling to find form after Ince started his managerial career by collecting four points from his first two matches.

 

 

Portsmouth will be hoping to take advantage of Blackburn's poor form and get a win of their own after once again being held to a draw last weekend. An own goal by Noe Pamarot three minutes from the final whistle saw Hull City snatch a point from the match after Pompey had done well to take a 2-1 lead.

The draw leaves Portsmouth with just five points from their last five matches and with their European dream slowly fading away, manager Tony Adams will be hoping to snap out of the poor run with a convincing victory over Blackburn on Sunday.
