Portsmouth will be looking to register their first win in four home Premiership games when they welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Fratton Park on Saturday.

Pompey have had a fantastic start to the season and have emerged serious contenders for a European slot come the end of the season. Harry Redknapp's side currently sit fifth in the league table with 30 points from 16 matches, level on points with fourth placed Liverpool who do have a game in hand.

Portsmouth emerged convincing victors in their 3-1 win over Aston Villa in their last match with Sulley Muntari scoring two goals in either side of half time to put the result beyond Villa's reach. Sean Davis could make a return to action against Tottenham after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to build on their 2-1 victory over Manchester City last weekend with another convincing performance against Portsmouth on Saturday. Juande Ramos' side continued on its path to recovery from a poor start with goals from Pascal Chimbonda and Jermain Defoe giving the team all three points last week.

Spurs are currently sitting 13th in the league table with 15 points from 16 matches and Ramos will be hoping that his team manages to chalk up victories on a consistent basis for the club to move up the table and finish the season with a late push for a European spot.
