The League One side is managed by Ferguson's son Darren Ferguson who will be hoping to provide a stiff competition to Manchester United with the season scheduled to start next week. Manchester United go into the match on the back of a comfortable 1-0 victory against Espanyol in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s match on Saturday.

 

 

Fraizer Campbell scored the only goal of the match eight minutes from full time as nearly 70,000 United fans attended Solskjaer's final game for the club. Solskjaer was presented with a memento by Ferguson to mark the occasion.

With the start of the season just around the comer, United are yet to make any new signings this season though Ferguson is hopeful of snaring Dimitar Berbatov in the next couple of weeks.

United next play Juventus in a home game on Wednesday before preparing for their Community Shield clash against Portsmouth on the weekend.
